Wednesday

Buenas tardes mis amigos!!!
This is Mrs. Miller in for Kirsty and Patrick.  The group has gone up on to the mountain above Chilcuautla to pray for the area.  We have just today moved to a new place and are staying at the home of Davids parents.  Chil is a much smaller town than Progresso and appears to be more open and spacious...  We will stay here until Friday morning when we will head home.
Yesterday was a wonderful day for the team; so many things we did were blessed.  We started Tuesday morning with a visit to the high school here in chil where the Harrymans and I have been before.  We were able to visit with their English class. Ryan and Dagen taught them the English terms used to describe soccer.  And the group helped the class with some homework questions.  There had been a lot of anitipation for our visit and some really sweet gifts were given to our kids-ones we hope are able to make it home safe and sound: paper flowers, pictures made with sequence, sand art, a doll, a wooden toy that swings small figures upside down was the biggest hit!  Hailey has been toting it around keeping it safe.
The English teach was so sweet and super excited to see us again - they have invited us to stay for a full week.... We,re checking into the cost of changing tickets..... jk.... :)
Oh - and I taught their Biology class. Be ready in season and out of season, eh¿  You,ll never guess the topic I was asked to speak on ... Natural Selection!!! HAHAHAHA  What fun was that¿¿¿  I will have to tell more later.
We have also done a Program in the central park here in Chil... We want to claim this place for the Lord!  Two years ago there was no church here, only an outreach from Progresso.  A few montha ago, a church was established by the Progresso group, and they now have a midweek service.  How special is it to be a part of such a movement¡¡¡
Last night the kids put on a full program at this new church - a block structure that was once a chicken hatchery.  We walked the streets and invited people to the program, and I was so proud of the group I wa with - Dagen, Hailey, Alison an Nathan because each and every one of them actually walked up to people and spoke in Spanish to invite the people to the program ,a las siete,. It wouldnt take Dagen long to become fluent... And even quiet Nathan was bold enough to stretch himself a couple of times.  We were startled by dogs... they are everywhere, many are on the roof as guard dogs, and they can cause you to jump if you are not ready!
There were about 40 people at the church, most of them kids, but the Pastor said few of them were actually from the church, so we were excited to present the gospel! Joseph shared a testimony that was truly from the Lord - it was so clearly the work of Jesus in his life; Dagen MCed again while Hailey and Alison shared how they have been touched and change in the last year or so.  Bri jumped in and affirmed their testimonies in a way that brought tears to my eyes... What a privilege we have to be called by our precious Lord to a life following Him.  The puppet team had a good program, adding a few songs to our service and then Champion (done beautifully) and El Mundo were also a way to share the truth of the gospel last night.
The group prayed for and with a number of the kids, some for salvation!! We also had a special time with a young woman, Maria and a boy Joseph had challenged to come. Glory hallelujuah!!  Makenzie and Hannah got a short lesson in the use of worship flags.  I had seen them before but had no idea there were specific positions for certain words... They really are beautiful when coreographed and used in the service.  I think the Lord is the ONE who is worthy of such pomp and circumstance - this is an opportunity here for some of the younger people to add to a worship service.  The flags are beautiful.
The Youth from Progreso have bonded quite strongly with our group and between the two of them it is a joy to watch them communicate in broken English and Spanish.  We were very sorry to say goodbye to them yesterday.
Of course there is so much more to be shared, but we are going soon to Mixquiahuala for a 2pm program, and another one at 6pm...  We love you guys and thank you so for your prayers!  We have seen the importance of them!
Parents, I am not sure what is going on with the phones, and the numbers I left you don,t seem to work.  I have left numbers of Joseph´s phone and a local contact Marlena(David´s sister) with Kaye Griffith in ithe office.
We hope to be able to post again - the kids will have more funny stuff to share... God Bless You!
